Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario (PSSO) is the best voice and support for people living with Parkinson's Disease and their families in a very wide swath of Ontario. From Kitchener to Windsor and north to Owen Sound, the very small group of staff assist with advice and suggestions and connections to support groups and the medical and research communities. Those living in small communities always have a volunteer to answer the call at the end of the telephone, and not a machine, which when you are living with Parkinson’s Disease, a voice is the best smile when you are living with a frustrating disease that is Parkinson's. No cure in sight; no new medications for the past 60 years. This is an organization that gets no government assistance, and earning Lerner's Charitable Giveaway will stretch in so many ways.
